My information on the Web and Internet
1. Which topic in this lesson was most interesting, informative, or challenging for you and why?
Domain Names
The reason I find Domain names interesting and challenging is that it is use to locate an organization on the web and internet. It is split in groups to be recognized by the address and the type of organization which the domain name system is presenting. The examples of the top-level domain names are listed as followed: com. is used by commercial entitles such as the VeriSign Global Registry Services , .edu is restricted to accredited degree-granting institutions of higher education sponsored by EDUCAUSE , and .org which is nonprofit entities one of them is managed by Public Interest Registry (PIR). The learning about domain names will help me learn more about websites, and succeed in education.

2. Has the Internet changed the way that you communicate with your friends and family, work on school assignments, research and compare products? If so, how? How do you think it will impact these activities in the future?
The internet had made a major impact on how I use it in many ways. First, the internet has change the way I communicate with my family and friend through social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram which makes it easy to chat with them online. It may be easy to stay connected with others on social media, but it can also have positive or negative affects depending on how much time we spend on media. Next, for my school assignments, the internet has made it a lot easier for me to type a sentence or a paragraph instead of writing it on paper. It has provided school resources online to use as classwork or study guide instead of reading everything in a textbook. Last, it made researching and comparing products plain and simple so that I can tell the differences between the price of what's cheaper and expensive, and how good or bad it is based on reviews of each product. Coming to a conclusion, the internet has made a impact on these activities based on the popularity of social networking sites and social media, but we must use the internet responsibly in order to avoid misusing it without basic knowledge.
